A careful intake sequence

Begin with a non-confidential inquiry that omits client and adverse-party names. If there is mutual interest, the firm will provide separate conflict-screening instructions. Client names, substantive files, and confidential information should be transmitted only after written conflict clearance and through an agreed secure method.

Licensure and responsibility. Homer P. Jordan IV is licensed in Georgia. Work involving another jurisdiction is undertaken only when authorized by applicable law and professional-conduct rules. The hiring firm remains responsible for jurisdiction-specific authority, court filing and appearance requirements, the client relationship, final review, and the responsibilities stated in the written engagement.

Additional review materials. Detailed Kansas and Missouri reference memoranda and sample client-disclosure forms are available after an initial discussion. Other jurisdiction-specific requirements can be addressed as appropriate.
